Kylie does safe sex - again

I can't be the only person impressed with Kylie Minogue's generous contribution to the safe sex message.

I haven't seen any numbers for the cost of her latest advertisement, but this is no cheap and sticky effort.

Thumbs up to Kylie for reminding the young 'uns to use condoms - always, always use condoms!

All the Lovers

Even if it's all reminiscent in style and movement and number of partners to her 2003 safe sex advertisement - you just can't say the same thing too often when it comes to sexual health.

  1. I'll be sure to remember that if I ever get to do the horizontal folk dancing again before I die.

  2. Solomon12:40 AM

Eh? All I saw was a giant soft-core orgy. What was with the marshmallows, doves, white horses/elephants and balloons?

  3. " All I saw was a giant soft-core orgy."

    Me too Sol.

Must say that I am getting fed up to the eye teeth with female singers such as Minogue,Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Christina Arguilera slutting it up for the cameras to make the big bucks.

Wtf happened to being recognized and appreciated for talent alone..

  4. Solomon5:22 PM

What talent? I must admit I have a thing for Shakira. Her hips don't lie, no not at all!

Actually the Kylie video reminds me of this ad for tampons:

  5. Bwaahh!

That's great Sol. They could have taken that so much further, but still very good.

I thought the balloons were giant condoms, you know, for the elephants?

The marshmallows were diaphragms, of course, which I thought a most inappropriate inclusion, as use of a diaphragm would not protect one from the potential range of diseases that one would potentially acquire from all of those people. (Eeewwwweee. Doesn't bear thinking about.)

I assume the fluttering doves are symbolic.

  6. Sol - I also have a soft spot for Shakira, especially her breasts, which aren't mountains.

  7. Solomon1:39 AM

Yeah I like it a lot. Makes me want to change my brand of tampons. Try as I might I still can't see any safe sex message in Kylie. Though, they were all wearing gloves, so what do I know?

I've never really thought about Shakira's breasts. A terrible oversight. I like that she called her album "Oral fixation" and did something or other for human rights.

  8. Come on, one has to assume that the clip is a condom ad - all those writhing bodies, the lyrics - what else would if be about, if not a safe sex message?

Yes, Shakira does nice things for third world kiddies, all the while being proud of her honest hips and modest breasts. She's a good lass.

  9. Solomon4:38 PM

If the message is: wear underpants whilst writhing around with 500 strangers, then I'm with you.

I don't think big breasts are in anymore.

  10. "I don't think big breasts are in anymore. "

    Sez who? Hmmph!

  11. Implants are, allegedly, no longer fashionable Kath, but I'll believe that when I don't see them.

You could be right Sol, maybe it's an ad for wearing clean underwear when you go out.

  12. Solomon2:01 PM

I think nowadays what is the focus is what the Americans call "Asses". I think this is because they can be controlled through rigorous exercise, where as implants are "unnatural". And men are conditioned to accept this as attractive.

  13. You've obviously never heard of butt-implants Sol.

Can't make a butt bigger by exercise.

  14. Solomon2:33 PM

I most certainly have not. The correct way to make butts bigger is by eating chocopolitan.

  15. Bottom lifts, bottom injections, and bottom silicone implants - http://tinyurl.com/29z8mg9

Yes, we can all have that big-butt look, without the chocopolitan!
