Wednesday Wisdom

“If [the remarks] were off the record in 2005, they should also be off the record in 2007, and if something is off the record it in effect doesn't exist and there's nothing wrong with denying something that didn't exist."

Tony Abbott, Federal Minister for Health

What a heap of self-serving, fatuous nonsense.

  2. It's glorious, isn't it?

So much hoopla over the strip club, but Abbott's forked-tongue doesn't warrant any attention.

It has its own logic I suppose.

Bit like a non-core promise. It was never core so it wasn't really ever given. Therefore it hasn't really ever been renegged on.
