What fun to be able to view the Friday duck on Thursday night! I feel like I have a special pass or something.

I've never tried it. But it couldn't be much of a drink. If the duck has to carry around its own sick bag.

  6. I've got a duck poem for Duck Friday - just remembered it, it's by Ogden Nash:

    THE HUNTER

The hunter crouches in his blind
    'Neath camouflage of every kind,
And conjures up a quacking noise
To lend allure to his decoys.
This grown-up man, with pluck and luck,
Is hoping to outwit a duck.

That Mr Nash was a wise man!

He certainly was Timmy!! And also a favourite of mine.

    Here's my personal favourite!!

    Candy is dandy ..
    But liquor is quicker..
(.Bet you are surprised at that one Caz!)

    And this one..
I think that I shall never see,
A billboard lovely as a tree.
    Indeed unless the billboards fall
I'll never see a tree at all!

    Tell me no fiblets...
    Where are the giblets!!!

You should'na got me started Tim!!!
I could go on all night.

Much to Caz's chagrin I'm sure!!!

  8. Since the Nash duck quote was already taken, I shall fall back on my second choice for a duck quote...

Jack Dempsey, upon losing the World Heavyweight title, said:
"Honey, I just forgot to duck."

I won't forget to fluffy duck either ;-)

Wanting to fit in with the crowd, but falling hopelessly short of the mark, I googled "duck quotes" so I could add something to the conversation. Here's what I found. Beverly Sills once said, "You can't aim a duck to death." I have no idea what that means.

I guess ya gotta pull the trigger, Drunka wife!
Yes.. That ought to do the trick.. One dead yellow duck.(providing your aim is true of course)

Now don't go all ballistic, Caz... I ain't plannin' to do your duck in!!!( not until I start feelin' a mite hungry, anyway!)

  11. I didn't get it till Kathy explained either.

I've got a line from Groucho Marx in Duck Soup (so it fits): "Go, and never darken my towels again!"

  13. You know Mrs DrunkaWife - I'm liking: "You can't aim a duck to death" more and more. I'm thinking of making a sign to hang on the door.
