  3. If I shaved....put the shavings on top....got blue contacts...

    A pity. The "retirement" from acting put the writing on the wall. Still recall the opening scenes of The Verdict. Story goes that Redford wouldn't play the part of Frank Galvin because a vomiting and alcoholic failed lawyer wasn't "him".

  6. I think he'd have been a man you could have shared a beer of any color Father ... ah, if only ... now what a story that would have been to tell.

    Raise a glass or two in remembrance. They don't make 'em like that anymore, and we are all the poorer for it.

    (Redford was never a patch on Newman; always a tad too precious about himself.)
