Duck Friday

13 comments:

  1. Picture taken by Jacob, at Civic Park, Warragul a few weeks ago, in the mistaken belief that baby goats were having a swim. Only later did he realize they were ducks.

[Warragul - spell check suggested correction: farragut.]

  3. Imagine my excitement and elation at discovering an unknown aquatic goat species in the wilds of Scenic Park! Then, my desolation at realising these specimens weren't even in the same genus. My only consolation is that Caz was able to utilise the fruit of my efforts.

Farragut...! Such a connection with the Civil War naval hero is probably evident only to Bill Gates. The man's a genius.

  4. Elation can get the better of us when we're being heroic in a civil war Jacob.

Dreadfully modest of you to have suggested that you'd been attending a family wedding when you stumbled across the duckies a-bobbing.

(Pity about the species discovery going pear-shaped. There's always tomorrow!)

Err, did I say Scenic Park.

That should have been Civic Park.

But maybe it's really Civil Park, hence the Farragut connection.

  9. "Still look like baby goats to me."

Sure they do Drunka, sure they do!

    *Backs away slowly*

*Thinks: isn't this the same man who once posted an elephant and tried to pass it off as a Weird Bird Friday(TM) post?*

Had duck for dinner last night, Caz.
After all, it was, Duck Friday

    Crispy skinned breast of duck.

    Delectable!

The other half had fish of the day, Snapper, which he said melted in his mouth.

    Beautiful oceanside restaurant.

Belated 12th Wedding Anniversary dinner.(Managed to get a babysitter)

And, just so Jarcob doesn't feel left out, We had a bottle of Billy Goat's Oaked Chardonnay.(Cute little gold Billy goat on the label.)

    Dead set!
    I kid you not!
    (heh heh)

They were out of the chardonnay that we initially picked, so hubby chose the Billy Goat's.

  11. You're unbridled devotion to the causes of Duck Friday(TM) and Goat Friday(TM) is beyond admirable Kath.

Of course, it would have been even more impressive if Mr Kath had forgone the fish and eaten a Weird Bird(TM) instead.

Still, all in all, a stirling effort!

    Four thumbs up!

    Thank you Caz!( Bows graciously)

Mr Kath may not have been dinning ON a weird bird, however he most certainly was dinning out with one!!!

Surely worth a few extra points, Caz?

  13. Oh dang!

    Ya got me there Kath.

A re-count for the blog Friday trifecta is entirely warranted.

Following a carefully scrutinized re-count, to Mr & Mrs Kath:

    FIVE THUMBS UP!

    FIVE STARS!
